Ocean Star

Ocean Star

They said talk to us us if you think things are getting too much,
Is the weight of the world on your shoulder like a wrecking ball
You see, your a danger to me
Just a faite a complait
Just a danger to me
A trial to test me.

You, you ve had a life of obligation
Train of thought takes you station to station
Emotions universal,
Well at least nation to nation.

A bullet would have been quicker
A speeding train more instant
But then you opted for your last trip
Too late in time to ever be saved
A potent cocktail and a watery grave.

The thunder clap crashes over a roaring sea
Terrified clouds escape the scene
To a grey sky backdrop of wailing, swaying arms
Or are they the despair of screaming trees.

Although I never fully knew your pain
Your emotional distance was such a crying shame,
To let your lights fade out so soon,
And like the tides are determined by a moon from afar
Your spirit lives on as an ocean star.

Hi Stuart, an awesome poem - sad - but full of meaning and hurt! I'm sorry this person left you and went to a higher place, but you have made memories together and for now that is important. Poetry wishes, Jennifer.

I hope you don't wait two years to give us another poem Stuart, that would be a pity. I like your poems.

I can feel the pain of the person of whom you write. Sad that they ended their life too soon. So many today are being caught up in the drug scene and life is being cut short. Enjoyed reading your work. Welcome to soup. Sara
