Occupation Destination

OCCUPATION DESTINATION

Hey, remember the flamboyant Mr and Mrs Black,
Heard they are back,
And in actual fact,
Mr. lost his job, gave his boss too much flak!

Employees had gone missing, it was reputed
That something strange,
Was actually in range,
The rumours could not be pinpointed or disputed!

The ‘Blacks’ had decided that their old occupation,
Was far more fun,
Son of a gun,
All this time they were in preparation!

They had looked up ancestors and kin,
Many were in Hungary India,
Greece, Bohemia and Serbia,
Their new, rather old lifestyle, was about to begin.

India was a bit far, rather the Slavic places,
Excitement was mounting,
And they began counting,
They remembered the 18th century faces!

And so, need to go into the evil and gory,
These vampires had a ball,
They had such gall,
Their pantry always full, and they, in their glory!

Guess we all will have to Paul - they could be anywhere, if we watch and believe the vampire series on TV - LOL! Warm regards and hugs, Jennifer.

They can pick and choose how far back the want to go as well Michelle! Vampires have been romanticized in the last decade due to the media - as long as the keep far away from Johannesburg! Really liked your comment Michelle, thank-you! Hugs, Jennifer.

Enjoyed this reprise, (and the comments below as well), even though I haven't the faintest idea who the Blacks are. Ditched the boob-tube in 1975 (really). ~ Gershon

Mr. and Mrs. Black were perfect for the 4th line of my verse because it rhymed --- Mr. lost his job, gave his boss too much flak! - I could have used Mr and Mrs Proxenos or Mr. and Mrs. Wolf - but it wouldn't have worked - awesome you enjoyed Gershon ! Hugs, Jennifer.

Thanks ^WW^ - fantasy has always fascinated me - believed in fairies as a child who knows maybe they do exist in Peter Pan's world! Thanks for your lovely comment. Hugs, Jenn.

Your imagination hit pay dirt again. What a fun read with an exceptionally cool and, in my case, unexpected ending - loved that cause I didn't see it coming! All the best ... CayCay
