Obstacles Or Opportunities

Concealed within each obstacle
Lay opportunities.
Recognizing them, oft times,
Require thinking outside the box;
It seems that opportunity rarely knocks
At an opportune time,
And seldom knocks but once;
Burned into my memory
Are cases when opportunity stood banging,
And I answered not the door.

                         I've found,
That life rarely rewards you beyond your effort.
                              Tom
