Obsession

I’ve tasted all that is sweet,
but nothing sweeter than your lips.
I’ve felt most things bitter,
but nothing more bitter than your absence.
When you are gone,
I have no clue what to do with myself.
When you are present,
I never want you to leave my side.
I want to know you’re ok.
I need to hear that you are alive.
I want to know you’ll be there when I need you.
But when I’m left in the dark,
worry consumes me.
