Obsessed By My Obsessions

Obsessed by my obsessions
to point of being swept away

If only I were capable
of living a different way
Despite all of my pleadings
seems no matter how hard I pray
This driving force of focus
still define’s my life today.

Dear Darrell, This speaks volumes about the relentless grip of our inner struggles. Your poem beautifully captures the turmoil of being consumed by our obsessions despite our longing for change. Your words show us of the complexities of human nature. A very poignant reflection. - Blessings, Daniel

Hahaha. Hello! I'm happy you got a kick out of this little piece, but I must admit my Obsessions are perhaps not so intriguing. I am an avid cyclist, having ridden well over 100,000 miles and currently have over 14 project cars including several well known Italian cars, several jaguars, corvettes , broncos.... and others. I do all my own work , welding, body, custom paint, interior and of course electrical ,,, throw in stone working and woodworking ... writing, occasional speaking .... and ... robotics services ... I'm always neck deep in whatever the flavor of the day brings.
