Obsessed

This infatuation is not right
You hold on and squeeze him so tight.

You claim to love him but you don’t understand.
His attention, something you crave and demand.

You live, think, and breathe for him.
You do everything and anything just to speak to him.

He runs from you and tries to hide.
He’s scared but has too much pride.

Love is selfless
But your “love” is selfish.

Love is not something you hopelessly chase.
True love is something that both parties embrace.

He doesn’t want you
You make him sick, worse than the flu.

Why won’t you get it?
It’s clearly time to forget it.

This is nowhere near love
These feelings you speak of.

You’ve fallen into a deep depression.
This is not love, it’s an unhealthy obsession
