Wow Sara! A beautiful Pleiades, with never say die, mood elevating message! Congrats on your win! Contests are difficult to judge, reflecting what resonates with the sponsor; I readily admit to this flaw myself! Have a great day!

US, Yes, the contest winner/winners depends on what the sponsor thinks and no one else. I have to decide what to do on each one I do. I usually only eliminate the ones which do not follow the rules that I asked then decide what to do with what is left. I know every poem has its good points and deserves notice. Thanks for dropping by my page. Sara

Nicely done, Sara. In her blog I think she tells how she left out the complete rules for this form. Otherwise, I bet this would have scored higher!

Andrea, Well, it is seven line and 6 syllables plus it is all about observe so I guess it follows the rules. It is not about a name of a person either. I guess it was her choice to place it lower. Sometimes the judge likes what is said or not. It is always up to them. I try not to let it bother me anymore. I just write something and try to do it correctly then let it go. Thanks for dropping by. Sara
