Observations of a Rat

don't spit on my tail please
said rat with a summer cold
never saw children like these
brassy and so bold.

don't spit on my tail please
said oldster rat, scurrying away
never saw people like these,
never having even one good day.

That poor Rat; he can't help what species he was born. Cute.

The rat often shows us our rat-like selves.
