That old church
Miraculous Novenas prayed;
Urban facelift upgrades

Once upon a rhyme
Edgy words conspired;
Awkward exfoliation

Waiting for the muse
Words falter and flop;
No poem today

Journey Journal gripes
So much to write;
Self-healing ventures

Listen to my story
As I recite in words;
Snapshot in verse

Just for a while
Smile condescending;
Be serious later

~~~~~~~~~


Seize the tally
Count how many;
Profit pays plenty

Passion ignites 
Purpose prevails;
Persistence pays

~~~~~~~~~


Write a good write
Let words address;
Debut word song

Lyrics in plain view

Glare and glaze

Secret messages

Not for consumption
