Observations

My truck has been broken for quite some time I needed something at the store… The closest convenient store is an hour walk So, I started to walk on a beautiful day On the side of a busy road, to get there I saw green grass and brown grass Patches of different colors in the trees I saw skid marks and cracked pavement Mushrooms and clusters of clover I saw litter: plastic bottles, empty cigarette packs, Shot glasses, pieces of paper and more I passed a river in a green, lush ravine And a still, calm pond with pretty reflections I saw tire tracks in the dirt and shiny stones The sky was blue and the sun was hot I saw crazy drivers and good drivers Flowers and bushes of all different kinds Observations not seen, with so much on our minds! Hello Heidi ... but the observations of a true poet in this verse. Not just the pretty things, but the ugly side of discarded rubbish also - well done again Heidi - Lindsay

It was nice to take this walk with you Heidi. The trip is always different when we slow down and actually see the color, texture, and depth of our surroundings.

Heidi, Thank you so much for taking us on your walk. I hope you got a ride back over the cracked pavement and passed the river's ravine. -Richard

Hi Richard. No, I walked both ways. 50 mins there and 1 hour back. Thank you for your kind comment, my friend :)

Your keen observations bring the scenes alive for the reader. Big contrast between beauty of nature and manmade litter. You painted the two side by side--they make your point.
