Oblivion

Oblivion it is when you're lost in thought
Oblivion it is when you drop it all
Oblivion it is when you never dost
Oblivion it is when you give it all up and fall

Oblivion, oblivion
Oblivion, oblivion

Oblivion is your loss in limbo
Oblivion is your loss of gist
Oblivion is your loss and bungle
Oblivion is your loss of feeze

Oblivion is to feign and lost a turn
Oblivion is to know and never speak
Oblivion is to take and never return
Oblivion is to keep away and never be meek

Oblivion, to never forgive, never forget
Oblivion, to scatter your conscious, never allineate
Oblivion, to never obstinate, never bet
Oblivion, to never be zany, never appreciate

Oblivion, to be delusional and unaware
Oblivion, to remember inessential details
Oblivion, to be naive at all dares
Oblivion, to remember the routes but not the trails

Oblivion, efface these joyful faces I've loved
Oblivion, efface these oppressive things I know
Oblivion, efface these memories I've had
Oblivion, efface all that I love dearest for so

Oblivion? What am I doing here?
Oblivion? What am I looking for?
Oblivion? What is my purpose, is it near?
Oblivion? What is this, my eyes are watery sore.

Oblivion, was I a good person?
Oblivion, was I a good child?
Oblivion, was I an angel and never committed treason?
Oblivion, was I kind and mild?

Oblivion, once, I dreamed of a family
Oblivion, once, I dreamed of great friends
Oblivion, once, I dreamed of a true love's love happily
Oblivion, once, I dreamed of my honest treads

Oblivion, there was a child who made too many mistakes
Oblivion, there was this time that she stood still
Oblivion, there was a chance that she could take
And she spelt it out, and she crumbled away with her lost will

The chance was "Oblivion", and this is what she spelt then
"Oblivion is to efface what was once there..."
