Obey the Storm
Is it thunder that brings rain,
Can they be separated pain,
When the other comes before,
Does it make you even more...
Which one bend's the strongest trees,
As you cower to your knees,
While it fills the cup you hold,
Above your head as you are told...
And if you try to fight the shiver,
It engulfs you like a river,
Until you choose to bow your head,
Or you lose your breath instead...
While the other sings a prayer,
Through each particle of air,
As they burn behind the strike,
That makes us scared at night...
But they are in tandem,
Though they still appear at random,
So that you can somehow warn,
Others to obey the storm...
