O, Where Will I Wake Up
where will I wake up in the morning
on the day I don’t wake up
will I green the summer pasture seen
in bloom of wildness
or sky the flight of soaring high
and leap from clouds above
or maybe somewhere warmer where
I flame the fires burn
and sit among the groan and cry
in some hell or hellish furn’
or maybe I will loop around
and wake up at my birth
o, where will I wake up in the morning
on the day I don’t wake up
reaching out eternally
but always on god’s earth
