O Foolish Heart
O foolish heart
why run ye madly
unto the breach of despair
longing and yearning
after that which brings
such torment and suffering
what madness compels ye
to seek out that which ends
in utter hopelessness
O foolish heart
it is only to well that I know thee
and sharing thy longings
charge headlong
reckless
blindly
into the raging torrent
of my lovers embrace
fearing not the outcome
living only in that moment
O foolish heart
fools both are we
