Nuts
Cracked and broken
Salty and sweet
Nuts indeed a savory meat
Brown and crunchy
Long and thin
Bagged or kept within a tin
Almonds pecans walnuts too
Crunchy chewy every bite
Nuts morning noon or night
On cakes and cookies
In breads and scones
Miraculous treats in every home
Hazelnuts Brazil nuts acorns too
Stored within a squirrels pride
Winters’ storms to weather the tide
Such wanders in a shell
