I'd like to write a nursery rhyme For every girl and boy One they'd rather hear Instead of playing with a toy I'd like to write a nursery rhyme That'd stay forever in your head One that children ask you for Each night as they go to bed I'd like to write a nursery rhyme With easy words to say One with a type of melody That never goes away I'd like to write a nursery rhyme That would let a child know It's okay to make mistakes We learn as we grow I'd like to write a nursery rhyme That talks of God above One that reinforces faith And he created us with love
