Numb

Numb from heartache
Numb from pain
Numb from anything to keep me sane

Numb in my soul
Numb in my heart
Numbness is the only way I won't fall apart

They gave me pills, said they'll help
Help you from numbness they said
Help you to arouse from your bed

Said they'd work wonderfully
Apparently it's not the same for me

Lost in the shadows
Lost in the lies
Lost in the echoes of my cries

I'd give anything to be happy
But not too close to being sappy
To laugh To love To smile
Some things I haven't done in awhile

No understanding from all to some
No one understands that I am completely numb
