Numb

numb.

the ecstasy of my sorrows
withdrawn,

I run a little bit further,
down the windy path,
through the forgotten forest

to where I am in solitude.

this agony is sufficient
bleeding dry,

I can see my bones bulge-
and I'm all alone.

But aren't we always?
Alone in our own thoughts
Alone when you fight with the demons
Alone and surrounded by life

The clock stops-
my heart beat is redundant
I'm running out of time

It's a harsh reality,
a severed heart
swallowed by desolation
