Now Or Never
Complete disorder and disarray
The darkened room will always stay
The boys just get up then go play
And never do their chores
The clothes, they’re piled just so high
It really is a big pig sty
But, they somehow still get by
Though, I cannot see their floor
When will they learn or ever care
That I’ve already done my share
They need to know they’ll go nowhere
If it never then gets clean
But, yet as parents we give in
My wife and I, we never win
It really is just such a sin
Because we never stay that mean
I tell them to close their blinds real tight
For fear the neighbors would peek at night
When they are in and turn on the lights
Embarrassed by the room
But one’s fourteen, the other eight
They have to learn, it cannot wait
Tomorrow then, now that’s the date
It’s clean or meet their doom
