Now Or Ever
Its hard to explain the reason she cries
when he pushes her away
when the walls come up and she starts over
its hard to explain what keeps these two apart
what stands in the way of what these two could become
everything and everyone who pushed the two apart
its hard to believe that what he said was what he meant
when he said he wanted nothing to do with her
when he said he wanted to be left alone
its hard to believe that she listened to the words
that she took them to heart every syllable
that since that day no words have been said
its hard to see him happy with another
when he is with the other that he smiles
when he ignores her in front of everyone
its hard to see her cry
because she feels so alone
because she knows that no one will understand
its hard to explain, its hard to believe, and its hard to see
that they can never be together
now or ever
