Now is the time

Of what may have been, never was,
because we followed not God’s laws,
putting not dark desires on pause
but in sunset years, our heart thaws.

Seeds of lust sown were all home grown
but now that this to us is known,
in our solitude we atone;
God walks with us, we’re not alone.

Thought cessation shows is the way,
for in silence, heart does not sway
and dwelling thus, day after day,
with each breath, we soulfully pray.

All we need to do is begin;
plunge into the heart, God’s within.
