Now I Know

Now I know I went to look for you, where I thought that you might be. I did not find you there, only my lost soul. I called out your name and you did not answer. I only heard the echo of my own voice, and then silence. I reached out for you, and I did not feel you there. Only the cold empty place where you once were. I know that you have moved on; you left me with only the broken and shattered pieces of my heart and dreams. A voice comes to me and tells me to look off into the distance. That is where my future is now and will be there waiting for me when I am ready. I look and see a slight ray of light, and a siloulute of the one who will bring me joy. The one who will Love me, appreciate me, respect me, and remove all traces of the past which was of you.
