Now

It's so hard nowadays.
To keep things in control.
I'm thinking how some say,
That you should know your soul.
It's not how much we pay,
But it's how much we pray!

You can live your life,
Try to please your wife.
Living for the Lord,
No one can be bored.
But there's always strife.

You say free you.
But that's not wise.
For if we do,
You live in lies!

Tomorrow
Bring your mop!
Clean the slop!

Today
You pay!

NOW!

Indeed, you boil it down to NOW, Marty. For all there is truly is the now moment. Love it. Great use of the form. Thank you for your comment on my tribute to my mom. It was a hard and tear-filled write, to be sure.

Really like the message here, Marty! This is a verse form I've never tried, but you seem to have mastered it. Maybe I can learn from this fine example. Nice work! Love, Carolyn
