Novemember 22, 2015

November 22, 2015 reposted 11/23/16
If I could paint a sunset
          yesterday’s would be the one.
The day was filled with cotton puffs tinged gray
slowly drifting and hiding the sun.
Somewhere around four fifteen
came the glimmer of a pink blushed sky,
and as the dusk squeezed through the in between
a palette of magnificence caught the eye.
Each minute that I watched it passed
was better than the one before
and in majestic color boldly setting it would not last
so I bolted out the door to see a little more.
Tablet with camera in hand,
I set on how to capture every hue
immortalize that vision grand
with depth of purples, yellows, reds and blues.
But that awesome sky displaying all would not wait
fading out its indescribable color and wonder
beauty to never be contained, linger on or hesitate
and finally set the November day asunder.
