Notice Me

Is my whisper heard?
I’m too shy to shout
Will you notice me please?
Don’t scowl and scold
It makes one old I’m told
I need another chance
To learn life’s lessons
And face my fears
More time, some space, my pace
So keep believing
You arrived long ago
I know
Your wisdom tells
But fatigue will overtake you
So pass your baton on
Look ahead you’ll see
Me waiting there
Your run is nearly done
While mine has just begun
