Nothing To Share

Desperate my heart when I long for you
In unknown realms remembering your face
As timeless tears fall, emotions are blue
From days and nights of love's fleeting embrace
My heart will forever wander alone
Tightly tethered to a life that has gone
Taken in the night with nary a moan
Only the quiet of death's breaking bond
To find your beauty floating among stars
With my dreams remembered which came in moonlight
When we danced with strings from Spanish Guitars
And cradled in arms of lover's delight
Silence is haunting with empty despair
No room to love again, nothing to share

Truly a great sonnet! Every verse great and emotionally deep. These verses are diamonds and gold- " Only the quiet of death's breaking bond To find your beauty floating among stars With my dreams remembered which came in moonlight When we danced with strings from Spanish Guitars" , and are perfect in my opinion. A fav-- God bless..

Creative winning work that expresses your deep feeling for a love taken in death. It is hard to loose someone we love and the grief is very real. Congrats on this winner. Sara

Oh, Frederic. This is such a lovely tribute, so full of feelings, "with empty despair." Blessings and brighter days ahead for you. I know these feelings well.

Dearest Frederic, the poignant purity, beauty and silky power of your emotional pen haunts the saddest depths of my heart's imagination. Every line to be embraced in tender mourning. Exquisite expression of the pain of death and lost love. The melancholy musical accompaniment is as if the notes were plucked with tears. Warmest wishes always, dear poet, dear friend.. ~Susan
