Nothing Is the Same

NOTHING IS THE SAME Nothing is the same since you went away If we meet again someday, what will my heart say? Right now I feel an emptiness, how long will that remain? I only know the pain is there again and again. I miss our conversations, my pleasure when you’d say “How’s the love of my life” That really made my day. So many moments I recall of adventure and real joy Why did you think this happiness was something to destroy Birthday gifts and thoughtful cards showed how much you cared It just seems there’s nothing that we had not shared I still feel the love it won’t go away, have you really moved on? I ask myself time and again, could that love be gone. Nothing is the same I cry nothing is the same Changes, changes all around, should I take the blame Sometimes I wonder should I play the waiting game My better judgment says, this love I can’t reclaim. My aching heart is heavy, as I long for your embrace Wondering if someone else has now taken my place It seems no words can express the hurt I feel today ‘Cause nothing is the same since you went away.
