Nothing Changes

Insanity retrieved by memories consuming all the space Loud and sharp and chaotic Foreign to solitude and peace Remember you told me You always promised still Things so hard will never be When devoured by complacentcy Nothing changes, distance and degree delaying things we desired to pursue Hard to change or hang onto Falling back into the way we knew Believing and hoping this time Changes nothing, it' just the same Washing our hearts white Still Dark debrie lingering Sound minds for just a season They slipped Far away to stay Gripping the familiar The way we were and will ever stay
