Nothing

It wasn’t enough for you to hurt me It wasn’t enough to make me cry It wasn’t enough that you made me feel so bad That I wanted to curl up and die It wasn’t enough to take away my peace of mind It wasn’t enough to disturb my ordered life It wasn’t enough to say cruel and heartless things That cut into me like a knife It wasn’t enough for you to take my love It wasn’t enough for you to throw it in my face It wasn’t enough for you to laugh at me And drive me from this place Nothing was ever enough for you I gave it all, yet you wanted more Nothing was ever quite right for you What did I get involved with you for? Nothing you did was about the two of us Nothing you did was about sharing Nothing I have learnt about you Suggests you are capable of caring. I have nothing left to offer you I have nothing left to give I want nothing more to do with you For as long as long as I shall live
