Nothing
We take it for granted.
What we've all been handed.
This wonderful opportunity that is...
Life.
And when we finally notice
we take it all in with no focus
spinning in circles blind without a purpose
feeling lost with no where to run
in the vastness of the world
a web that has been spun
for who?
For us?
How can that be?
We are so tiny.
In this universe we are but a dot.
Among the innumerable stars we are unable to spot.
But to understand the macro scope,
Look under a microscope.
To see the bizarre,
How big we really are.
Life.
We are all made of the same stuff.
Look around,
Everything is like us.
Disagree?
Look at some quantum theory.
Everything is made of atoms,
Now look a little closer,
Protons,
Neutrons,
Electrons,
And what is in between?
The vastness that is...
Nothing.
You are mostly empty space,
And not just you,
The universe too.
It's all made of...
Nothing.
It may be big,
But so are you.
All you need to do,
Is change your point of view.
We put so much value on things we know to be true.
Things we created,
To understand what we thought was complicated,
But are in fact non-existent;
Time,
Distance,
In fact gravity,
Is just a theory,
We created to try to understand what surrounds us.
The universe doesn't know calculus.
We try to understand the big picture,
Looking for answers so we know what to wish for.
But you have all the answers,
It's in your genetic makeup,
You just need to wake up,
And realize that you are big.
As big as this universe.
Everything was created equal because of one thing...
We are made of nothing.
