Notes of the Day
Morning, a dawn chorus rouses me
rising notes intensify with the rising of the sun
with its ascension a world awakens
a new day- filled with hope,promise and newness
can you but smile? rise with optimism
dreams fading into...
a world alive with noise- sounds inviting us in
dew lingers, birds sing, and a sun shines
there is no time to waste- a day is but a day
all too soon descending notes give way to dusk
a moon eager to take its turn- all must end
Yet, be thankful for the day, for tomorrow-
and for all our yesterdays.
