Note To Self

Note to self, I need to get this sorted
I feel better today than I did yesterday
Yet, there is still a chance for indulgence
To feel shy, to lock myself away

Note to self, you must start to get busy
As the song says, start living or start dying
This middle point, half in, half out
Do not fear death, that is inevitable

Note to self, try being a little more friendly
People are the key, solitude is no answer
Imprisoned by my own fear, misgivings
Open up with child like innocence

Note to self, please be happy
It is your god given right
Enter joy to fill that empty space
Let your tears sink to the ocean floor

Note to self, nothing matters more than love
Love is everything when all else fails
Accept willingly the love of others
Allow yourself to love, unquestioning

good poem, good structure, but a huge wow of emotion felt in that writing up there. Sometimes, no denying it either, I'm definitely sitting and paddling right be side that guy. Good work my friend - Tony Dean
