Note Quite Autumn

It hasn't bitten yet Sense lingers still of green and blue But memories come shivering My skin still damp though chilling through Something in the air Spells of heaviness gently falling Strange music of despair Through Nature's voice is calling

Congrats Daver on your featured write. My wife asked me if the heat bothered me this summer and I told her yes, but no complaints. You don't have to shovel heat. Autumn is beautiful as is each season but I'm not a fan of the cold. Vince

A foredboding of a coming Fall - "strange music of dispair" which we all feel when summer is over and we know we must face winter.

I agree with Stacey, Autumn is a feeling/mood, it is life! You speak like an angel - this poem is going in my favorites, as autumn is my fave season and you captured her coming perfectly. Well done, love Kristin

Nice use of imagery to forward your thoughts in this one. I like autumn but then winter is around the corner--not so fond of the below zero temps. Interesting reflection. Thank you for sharing it. Karen
