Not Up To Me

sunrise in the mountains
and you're so certain about me.
do i ever let you down?
when i lost my mind
i know you thought
there was something to hide
but there's nothing to find.

empty and off track
despite all attempts
to make up for what i lack.
will you think i'm useless
when i start to talk less?
don't make it a personal matter
because between you and my thoughts
i am at home with the latter.

not up to me. fragmented memory,
remembering the sunrise in the mountains
and you're circling all around.
between the moments
that i still can hold so very dearly.

do i ever let you down?
i think you see me clearly
and you see the empty space.
no disgrace. not up to me.
but if you get the chance,
don't let it slip through your hands.
i need to know you understand.
