Not Today

I'm tired of constantly having
to scrape myself off the floor.
The battles I've won have left
permanent damage. I wear my
war wounds very well. My heart
is lonely, it's also a little cold.
The struggle is the fact that I'm
not promised tomorrow. I'm
still waiting to pen my love
story. It kills me to have this
hole in my heart. You took that
piece that's missing. You thief,
my eyes were blind to you, just
another lesson learned about
life's misery. One day love will
be back in my life. That day
just isn't today

Again! I adore the way you express the monstrosity that so many of us have faced. When true love is found all loneliness will be lost and only seem but just a speck of dust compared.
