Not today

You decided that today your weren’t returning
I find it very sad and concerning
This is not the way it should go
Although it’s something that must undergo
This isn’t the solution 
To find the resolution 
A process being demanded
And leaves hearts and minds further stranded
It’s disheartening to know
That the professionals don’t show
Kindness courtesy or compassion
In any chat or conversation 
It anger me to see your struggle 
Stress on your face has doubled
It hurts my heart to see your pain
Helpless and hard to contain 
Everyday that goes by
Could be another day closer to goodbye
Every moment wasted in there
Is another moment we don’t share
My heart breaks without you here
As every moment is filled with worry and fear
As a may never see you the same again
Everything changes in a day when
Those people don’t listen or care
Or treat you decent or fair
Completely helpless and alone
Life and thoughts are over thrown
A piece of my soul is lost
Locked in an icy chamber of permafrost
