Not To

Teach me
Not to waste my time

Holding on to love
That left me;

Looking up to people
That despise me;

Asking for forgiveness
Where there is only pain;

Treasuring people
Who only treasure my mistakes;

Holding on to people
Who hold dear my dark past;
Who discard the changes
Good I have gone through;
Who take the gifts I shower
As trash, and throw them
Out of their mouths
As soon as I walk out.

Teach me
Not to waste my time.
