Not the Other Woman
not the other woman
I do not want to be
a one night stand,
smoke before the fire-
something on the side-
the other woman.
The other woman-
has time to waste.
The secret rendezvous,
motel rooms, small
gifts. A little of
your time, just
is not enough to build
a life on.
So, I'll spare myself the pain,
hurt, and always wanting that
which is not mine.
I will not be the other woman,
I will not waste my time.
