Not Sorry

NOT SORRY

Jesus is not sorry He died upon that tree,
Nor is Jesus sorry He had to die for me.
He looked down from heaven through the course of time
And knew all the evils man would ever find,
Knew I’d live for Satan, selfishness, and sin,
Though I thought I loved Him and He lived within.
I made Jesus sorrow on the cross that day,
Yet He still was willing to bear it all that way.
I know now He loved me for what I was to Him,
And He longed to save me and forgive my sin.
He said, “God forgive them,” I know He meant me
When He was forsaken and died upon that tree.
Now I must be sorry, repenting from my way
And I know that Jesus will come in to stay.
I will not be sorry for the choice I made,
Nor will He be sorry for my price He paid.
