So sad Karen, remember reading about that. Sad too that the culprit slipped through the net, we've had similar cases here too. Anyone with severe mental illness should be detained for the safety of others and themselves. Tom

Well, this is interesting. My wife, also named Irina, came here from Ukraine, seeking freedom from persecution. She is Jewish, like me. She found it here for quite a while. But now the persecution of Jews is back in vogue again in America. Pity. ~ gw

This wasn’t a case of persecution a mentally ill man stabbed her on the train randomly. Still she didn’t deserve that even if he was crazy. He was homeless had been kicked out by his mother and by the mental health agency. He also was banned from the train but got on it.
