Not Right Now Today

Shades closed,
Stay inside,
Pass out each night,
Clothes on the floor,
Computer Hearts and Solitaire,
Talk by email,
Red and puffy cried-out eyes,
(Don’t make eye contact when shopping)
Cyber smut,
Avoiding work,
Savings dwindle without concern,
Sleep in late,
Interests long dead,
Don’t shower,
Drift away from former friends and God,
Coffee then a six pack of tall ones for breakfast,
Mail piled up,
Final notice on bills overdue,
Microwave crap if I choose to eat,
Quit bible study and singles night,
Half-eaten food dead on scattered plates,
Turn off the phone,
Lost purpose,
No meaning,
Less reason to live each day.
Better to end this life than waste it.
Create room for one more in heaven,

But not right now today.
Maybe tomorrow.
