Not Like Before

Now is not like before
An earthquake brought the change
Memories in picture frames
Lie broken on the floor

This might be my favorite enclosed rhyme poem ever. I think of it as an emotional earthquake, like a girl who's boyfriend dumped her, so she threw all their pictures together on the floor.

Thank you for your comment. This poem is in fact about a relationship “earthquake”

Earthquakes often come in sneak attacks. I have been through a few in Los Angeles. They leave you shaken and in fear of another one to come. Congratulations on your win David. I enjoyed this piece. : ) xxoo

David, congratulations on your win in my writing challenge with your Enclosed Rhyme. Your poem reminded me of when our home burned down when I was a child and we lost everything, my mother said the destruction of the pictures was the worst to accept ~
