I don’t know what to do...
I don’t know what to do.
I’ve done all I can do,
and I still cannot get over you.
I have reached out for you
and fallen....
I have been crying for your help---
and you’re not there to listen.
“Letting go” is not a fear
of losing what I never had...
and the thought of you has
only ever made me sad.
There’s no completion in this life
without you...
But there won't be peace in my life
even with you
And I just don’t know what else to say
but that I don’t know what to do.
If I fell in love again
I doubt I could escape you.
Whether I mean to or not
I can't stop praying for you...
And other that that,
I simply don’t know what to do---
The bigger you wish,
the harder they come crashing down on you.
It’s the “know knowing” that gets me...
Fear of forfeiting my only chance
to be truly happy
We can’t always get what we want....
but if we don’t get what we NEED---
we die.
And it’s not knowing
that is killing me;
Not knowing
if you’ll never set me free.
