Not Just Christmas

Christmas is a festive time
Families shop and rush around
Children hope for certain gifts
Santa's bag so heavy to lift

Parents want their children to know
It's not just about the gifts or snow
It's about why Christmas is a special day
We celebrate Our Lord in a perfect way

He was born this day in a manger quite cold
To Mary and Joseph in a stable ne'er told
The stars in the sky looked down from above
Sending 0ur Lord to share all his love

Someone's steals a kiss under the mistletoe
Twinkling lights hung neatly in rows
Outside the window some fluffy while snow
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to one and all.
