Not In Rhyme

This cannot rhyme, I must try change,
my verse I’ll try to rearrange.
Oh hell, I know, I’ve made it rhyme,
my pen’s the culprit every time!

I’ll try once more to write this poem
without a rhyme to keep it flowin’.
I don’t believe I cannot do it,
there really should be nothing to it!

There’s something wrong within my head,
I should take heed of what I said.
I said, “I mustn’t rhyme this time”,
but rhyme’s in every flippin line!

Well I give in, I am not clever,
my poetry will rhyme forever.
I’ll never make a decent poet,
if it’s not rhyme… I just can’t show it!
