Not Here, But There

We have seen this before.
'blood sacrifice,'
an offering of dead children,
two rapacious Gods must be appeased.
Of course America kills more babies
spills more blood,
swears loudly
that in a blind God

We Trust.
Let us fight the good fight
not here, but over there
while the light
dies in our eyes.
