Not Good Enough

So tell me what I am supposed to be?
If not me.
To you, I'm not good enough.
Not tough enough.
Rough enough.

Far from pretty.
With all my flaws.
Lacking in my pity.
Digging into you with my claws.

I'm not good enough for you.
I'll never be tough enough.
Never rough enough.
Imperfect with everything I do.

I back down too soon.
While you find someone new.
Someone prettier to swoon.
Something I knew.

But I'll heal.
This pain, I feel.
It's far from real.
And thankfully, it's easy to conceal.

So move on.
Make me good enough.
To move on.
Make me rough enough.
To move on.
You make me weak enough.
To come crawling back.
