Not Fade Away
These days now have brought
Our caves and dwellings to mass.
All I see
.. Burrows to the sand
…Nests in the trees
…. Slumbers in the land
Natures unknown, for dreams surpass.
Perhaps one night the willful waves
should tire and settle into stillness…
While maybe this season. leafs cling to oak parents
with a sleepy soulful stubbornness .
And lets say the rain refuses to jump
bringing clouds reciprocate to a less thunder!
Leading into a day the grass stops growing
giving us a lack of measurement to life's wonder.
Then one fall ,hearing no more of the rustles,
Or of the arms dueling and the sways,
for lastly ...The cease.... it has become
in forgetting , never to sleep more than a dreams need
And never ever let it fade away.
