Not Enough Time

To cuddle into you
I marvel and study
Each freckle
Each piece that makes up
The back that turns away from me
But turns not in distain
But in my begging
So I can throw my arms
As longing
And needing
As they are
Around you
To feel at last
I am wrapped around you
Keeping you safe
Hearing you sleeping
This is all my wanting
Always is
Always will be
To keep you warm
Hear you soundly purring
With delicate sleeping sounds
That tell me you are happy
Beside me
In our love
How I detail
Every aspect of your body
Each part
Temporarily allowed to see and witness
How beautiful
A canvas you are
To paint upon
My heart
But yours
Will always be
A work of art
Imprinted
Forever
In
Me...
