Notes About The Poem

Not Done Loving You

Not Done Loving You

Calling from the other side
I'm calling out your name.
So caught up in the sadness
of the things that aren't the same.

Listening to and shining through
I see the tears you cry.
Touching me as I'm touching you
if only you could try.

Like passing through a curtain
how I left you on that day.
I heard you crying out to me
and begging me to stay.

The Master called me home you see
my work on earth is through.
Still He listened, your tears glistened,
I'm not done loving you.

So He took our memories
etched them in your heart and mind.
And through His grace and mercy
I left those things behind.

To cling to on those darker days
when things aren't going right.
To stay and keep watch over you
when you fall asleep each night.

My time has come for moving on,
my time on earth is through.
But until forever's over
I'm not done loving you.

I've seen. I've read and I am still flabbergasted! There is no way to keep up with this man. He's a true natural. His way with words is unlike all others. He is a poet. A real poet and I am honored to have lived in his era.
